General Settings

Configure your chatbot's basic information and status.

Accessing General Settings

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Select a chatbot
  3. Click Settings > General

Settings Overview

Chatbot Name

Give your chatbot a descriptive name that helps you identify it. This name is visible only to you and your team - not to end users.

Examples:

  • "Customer Support Bot"
  • "Sales Assistant"
  • "Product FAQ Bot"

Description

Add an optional description to help team members understand the chatbot's purpose.

Chatbot ID

A unique identifier automatically assigned to your chatbot. You'll need this ID when embedding the chatbot on your website.

:::tip Copy ID Click the copy button next to the ID to copy it to your clipboard. :::

Status

Toggle your chatbot's active status:

  • Active - Chatbot responds to messages
  • Inactive - Chatbot is paused and won't respond

:::warning Inactive Chatbots When a chatbot is inactive, the widget will still appear on your website but won't respond to user messages. :::

Tags

Add tags to organize your chatbots. Useful when you have multiple chatbots for different purposes.

Conversation Statistics

The general settings page also displays:

  • Total number of conversations
  • Date the chatbot was created
  • Last activity timestamp

Deleting a Chatbot

:::danger Permanent Action Deleting a chatbot removes all its training data, conversations, and analytics. This cannot be undone. :::

To delete a chatbot:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of General Settings
  2. Click Delete Chatbot
  3. Confirm the deletion
